Working for a company that caters to non-profits means that today was our busiest day of the year. I’m happy that all of these non-profits are bringing in donations for good causes, but it was stressful. In honour of this day of giving, below you will find links to some super-worthy causes to give to this year.
And if you have people in your life who aren’t always on board with the progressive cause, it is fun to give in their names. One of the best holiday gifts I have ever received from my cousin was when he and his partner gave to Planned Parenthood in my honour. It is a bit different because I give to them as well, so it wasn’t an ‘own’, but you can make it one if you choose.
Petty? Yes. Productive? Definitely yes. Potential for conversion? Low - but you never know what the holiday season, or a donation to a charity any time of year really, will do. Warming hearts is what the season is all about.
